Barclays Center opens with Jay Z
We discussed this last week, but we want to reiterate: Tonight is a HUGE night for Brooklyn. The Barclays Center is opening with one of the biggest recording artists in the world in the heart of Brooklyn, and everybody wants to be there. If you were lucky enough to get tickets, I’d recommend taking public transportation instead of driving. There will undoubtedly be tons of traffic and with so many trains running into the Atlantic Ave/Barclays Center station, there really is no reason not to.
Tunnel to Towers Race
On September 11, 2001, New York Firefighter Stephen Siller ran through the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers with 60 pounds of gear strapped to his back to help those in need. Dumbo Arts Festival
