Just because you don’t live in Washington D.C. doesn’t mean you can’t join in on the presidential fun. Mark your calendar and tune in to watch President Barack Obama inaugurated for his 2nd term this Sunday. Fret not New Yorkers and head out in your red, white, and blue attire (or not) because these New York City bars and restaurants will be hosting Inauguration Parties on this patriotic day.
11th Street Bar: This East Village pub is equipped with a large projection screen, which is perfect for everyone to watch the Inauguration. They will be serving Inauguration drink specials, but the fun doesn’t stop when the clock hits 5, because the tavern will have live jazz music until 11 p.m.
Creole Restaurant and Music Supper Club: Come to this bar for some original and creative drinks such as the Obama-Tini and Obama Swag. The best part is they’re only $5.
Village Pourhouse: The bar is actually hosting an Inauguration Watch Party Ball. Looking to enjoy some good drinks and good company? You can get two cocktails or Bud Light for only $15 or take shots of Barack O’Bombs with your neighbors at the next table.
The official theme of the 57th Presidential Inauguration will be “Faith in America’s Future.” Festivities will commend at 9:30 a.m. until 5 p.m., which will include the Presidential Swearing-In Ceremony, Inaugural Address, and the Inaugural Parade.
